SUMMER VACATION IDEAS

Taboo Muskoka has 100 awesome options to help you get unbored and make the most of summer, grouped by Golf, Food & Drink, Spa & Sun, Play, Explore and just Relax.  You don’t even have to be in Muskoka to try many of our summer To Do List suggestions.  Start with 10 of our current favourites and view or download the full list.

5. Take a photo of your favourite golf hole and make it your screensaver or share it online.
16.  Make your own ice cream without a machine. Get instructions here or come to Taboo’s daily ice cream workshop.
27. Get a spa pedicure in an expected colour. Flame orange, teal, mint and nautical blue are all hot this summer.
42. Put the fun back in fitness by trying some new work-outs. This summer Taboo has Bootcamp, Sunset Yoga, SUP and more.
50. Listen to some live music. At Taboo, you’ll enjoy entertainment every Saturday, from 4-6 in the Boathouse and from 6 pm in the Lobby Lounge.
53. Make an instant birdfeeder with pine cones, nut butter and a few seeds, plus a piece of string for hanging.
62. Go kayaking or canoeing. Taboo has a guided tour or intro class every day at 11 am.
81. Take a last-minute road trip or urban adventure, for the day or the weekend. Go to that spot you’re always talking about.
83. Make your own summer playlist. See some of our top song picks on the full 100 Things to Do list.
97. Try a “tech-free day” and really unplug from your laptop, cell phone, TV…

ADVENTURE TIP Get outside
Switch off the Netflix and grab your walking shoes.  Whether it’s a city block, a nearby street, a park or Taboo’s network of nature trails, there’s always an adventure right outside your door, says Taboo Resident Naturalist Robin Tapley.  To get inspired by familiar surroundings, try a game of I Spy or a cell phone photo scavenger hunt.
